I’m not sure I can fully express how much I love the subject of this post. In fact, I’m sure I cannot, BUT I will say that my morning coffee is truly one of the highlights of my day. I love everything about it – the smell, the taste, the temperature…

And this summer I’ve played around with recipes until I’ve found what I consider to be THE BEST frozen coffee drink, and it’s as good as a Starbucks Frappachino. I can say that because I’ve consumed so many of those I consider myself an expert.

It’s too good to keep to myself, and it’s so easy it’s embarrassing. I’m even giving it a special name:

The insulated Hokie cup is a MUST

Suz-achino

1 cup crushed ice
1/2 cup water
1/2 cup skim milk
1 Tbsp powdered creamer
1/2 Tbsp instant coffee

Optional – sweeteners such as:

1 squirt chocolate syrup
1 Tbsp flavored syrup (Sarah likes sugar-free Caramel)

Blend at least 1 minute. The longer you blend it, the creamier it gets.

A couple of great things about this: it’s quick and easy to make, and it really is as good as your local coffee shop. AND, it’s a fraction of the cost.

Try it. If you like frozen coffee drinks, you’ll be hooked.
