A Monday Pause ~ Finishing Well

Heavenly Father, as a new generation of young
Christian men and women graduate from college and begin their careers,
may they come to understand that their highest call is to
live their lives to honor You.
Help them to grow in Your Word so they can understand Your ways.
Provide them with godly mentors who will help them
make decisions that are good and right, and
may they always remember that they first represent Christ Jesus.
We ask this in His name,
Amen

Join me on Wednesday to learn about the handsome young man in the photo :)

What about you? How can I pray for YOU today?

Comments

  1. Joining you in prayer for graduates and for us all to run in the footprints of Jesus!

I’m praying for you right now, and your precious family.

It’s my first day of retirement!!! And prayerfully a writing day!! Pray for holy guidance.

Also, it’s my Rachel’s first day back at work since having her baby. She has 3 weeks to finish the school year. Also, she’s been offered a teaching job at a wonderful Christian school for next year. She’s been trying to get on there for a couple of years. She is torn between the need to contribute financially and wanting to be home with her precious one. Please pray for guidance and peace.

And thank you for keeping the rest of my family in your prayers. You are a treasured sister in Christ!!

    I love you!

    • Wow, Kristi – LOTS of stuff on the horizon for you guys. I’m so excited about your retirement, and will pray you can manage your days and get a lot done! And I’ll pray for Rachel too. I know the struggle of needing the income but wanting to stay home. I’ll pray she hears clearly.

I love you AND your sweet family, and it’s a privilege to pray for you :)

  2. Prayers for graduates-I am in! They are headed into the big, wide world, and will need support and encouragement.

Your image reminds me of the quote from the movie Chariots of Fire in which Eric Liddell says: I believe God made me for a purpose, but he also made me fast. And when I run I feel His pleasure.

I pray as well that the grads find their purpose, and feel God’s pleasure when they work in that purpose!

    • Thanks for joining me in prayer for our grads, Kim. How inspiring was Eric Liddell? And how cool is it that God gifts us in ways that bring us joy and give Him glory!

I’m so glad you stopped by today, Kim!

  3. Amen to that! What a beautiful prayer. Looking forward to Wednesday… :-)

As for me…I am in week 2 of a non-stop schedule and much to be done. Praying for the Lord’s help to use my time wisely, but also be available to His holy interruptions.

    Have a blessed day.

    • Keeping you in my prayers this week, Jeannette. I figured you were busy when you didn’t post last week, but your fabulous Mother’s Day post was good enough for a whole month!

Thanks for stopping by. Press on!

      • I should have added a note that the Mother’s Day post last week WAS the post for the week…just a day early! ;-) Thanks for noticing – and for the prayers. Starting to breathe again. Slow and steady wins the race!

  4. Amen to your wonderful prayer, Susan! You are so precious to pray for others–love it! Join me in praying for complete healing of my right shoulder. I’m trusting Jesus to make it whole. Thank you, sweet friend! :-)

    • You’ve got it, Julie. I have a couple of friends with shoulder issues, and my dad says it’s awful because you can’t ever get in a comfortable position.

Praying for your rest and complete (and speedy) recovery!
      Hugs from VA :)

  5. Great Reminder. Thank you, Susan!

  6. Looking forward to Wednesday!

  7. At the other end of the spectrum . . . my oldest is finishing kindergarten this week. Through a series of events, God led us to homeschool him this past year. We’re thankful for His direction, and we’ve seen the blessings of homeschooling for this particular year.

We plan on enrolling him in our local school at some point in the near future, but we’re really struggling to discern whether or not God wants me to homeschool him for another year.

  8. Thanks for stopping by, ladies. I’ve got y’all on my Monday prayer card. Jodi, I’ll pray for direction for you as you decide about homeschooling.

Hope your weeks are filled with blessings!!
