I’m changing things up! For the past couple of years, I’ve posted Christian music videos on Mondays, but I decided to try something different. My new theme is
“A Monday Pause”
This will be my shortest post of the week, and will feature something inspirational and artistic. (Can you BELIEVE it? This techie is digging deep to see if an artsy gene lurks somewhere in the deep.) I recently took an iPhone photo workshop, and it inspired me to have some fun. I’ll still occasionally post some happy music, because I still love my happy music
I hope you’ll join me for a quick prayer and a reminder of the majesty of our Lord. And if you’d like to leave a comment, it would be an honor to pray for you on Mondays. I can’t think of a better way to start the week.

O God, You are my God; Early will I seek You;
My soul thirsts for You;
My flesh longs for You in a dry and thirsty land where there is no water.
~Psalm 63:1 (NKJV)
Heavenly Father, as we begin a new week,
help us to remember that no earthly thing
- no possession, no accomplishment, no relationship -
can ever fully satisfy us.
May You be our first thought each morning and
may we have an awareness of Your presence throughout each day.
In Christ Jesus name we pray,
Amen.

BEAUTIFUL, Susan! Good Job!
Thanks, Di! It’s funny that you and Cathy are my first commenters — YOU two were part of the inspiration for the change!! I’m having fun with the camera on my iPhone but will will start pulling some of the shots from my big Nikon
Praying for you today. Thanks for stopping by!!
The picture is breathtaking! I look forward to pausing with you on Mondays — what better way to begin the week? Since I’ll be at BRMCWC next Monday, I would appreciate prayers as I prepare for the conference — especially spiritually. I sense the enemy attacking and I’m struggling for direction. Thank you, Susan.
How can I pray for YOU this week?
Thanks, Cathy! Your “Wordless Wednesday” posts got me thinking about this change
I’ll absolutely lift you up as you prepare for BRMCWC, particularly for direction. Wish I could go but I’m excited to go to West Point for graduation.
Praying for me? I always need direction, attitude and time management. ALWAYS
Praying these things for you, sweet friend. Have a safe trip and thank you for your prayers!
Great change…..for me, anyway!!!!
You are right about the satisfaction part!
Can’t wait to spend today in my tent, as we covered a bucket load of miles this past weekend!
Now!….tell me what app you used on your iphone to get this pic! Its wonderful!
xoxox
TK
PS. I learned how to add stuff to a posted blog!!
Woohoo, TK — way to go with the posting!! Hope you get some stuff done in the tent today. Perfect day to hibernate.
The app is Snapseed. Pretty cool, huh?
Ok, just added you to my prayer list
Love, love, love this!!!!!!!!! The picture is truly one that draws us into the presence of the One who created all things. And I love the verse, thoughts, and prayer. How great is our God!!
Also, this was such inspiration for my current WIP…one of the verses that is key in one of the chapters! Thanks for the affirmation and challenge to get to work!!
You are such a blessing in my life! I treasure our friendship! I love you! Oh, and I LOVE your artsy side!
LOL we’ll see how my artsy side develops! That will truly be a God-thing and I’m so glad we live in an age where there are lots of technological aids
Can’t wait to hear more about your WIP – we HAVE to get together soon. I am so grateful for you, and I’m adding you to my prayer list. AGAIN… you have a special place there. Love you
Oh I do love the artsy picture and the words of pause. I woke up this morning with that huge mental list. Not the way the Lord would have me start my day. So I am pausing NOW to thank Him, to Praise him and to feel his presence. Please pray that we will follow his direction in all that we do. Love you!
Love you, Lynn. You’re another one who stays on my prayer list
Thanks for stopping by!
Oh, I LOVE the new Monday!!! I’ve been wondering what you were going to do and I think it is fabulous!! Now…….just one thing….is there a way for me to know if you respond to my comment without me going back to your website? Can it notify me? Just wondering!!
I’ll work on that! Meanwhile, you’re going on the Monday Pause prayer list
Love this new idea. Just beautiful! Thank you for the inspiration – wish I’d read it 3 hours ago!
Have a very blessed day – and, I hope you had a lovely Mother’s Day!
Thanks, Jeannette! I was ready for a change, and I think this is just what I needed. I’m adding you to my Monday Pause list for the week! I’m praying NOW and asking Him to redeem those 3 hours and help you have a productive day
Oh Susan, I love this! Although I can’t see the picture, I love the prayer and verse! By the way, that verse was what I used last week on my blog post! As far as prayer, same old thing for me. Love you!
Love you, sweet Jamie, and your post must have been what was ringing in my ears when I wrote this! THANK YOU!! And you know you stay on my list. I know very well what to pray
The ocean is one of the most significant ways I meet the Lord; it’s where He reminds me afresh that He’s God and I’m not. Even blogged about it not too long ago.
Thanks for taking me there virtually today!
Thanks for stopping by, Kirsten! My daughter and I spent last week at the beach, and it’s one of the most contemplative places for me too.
Praying for you this week
Nice change of pace Susan…but I know that you pray for others EVERYDAY. And I love you very much. My prayer request would be that God would continue to give you a desire to do HIS work and will in this world. That HE will renew you daily for all the tasks at hand and that HIS presence with you will bring you peace and joy.
You are so very special!
Thanks, Aunt Cherry. I really do appreciate your prayers, and especially to be able to focus each day.
I’m adding YOU to the prayer card I’ll be carrying around this week. I know there’s a lot of activity in your house, and lots of opportunities for blessings
Thanks for stopping by and commenting. I love you!!
Susan, hope you had a great Mother’s Day my friend!
And although I have told you before, you look wonderful!
We no longer look the same age!
I would so appreciate your prayers, my husband hurt his back at work January 5, 2011 and is no longer able to work after 37 years in the same job. Also even when the money stops coming in, the bills keep coming! It is rough. Love and Prayers to you.
Thanks for stopping by and commenting, Patricia! I appreciate your sweet compliment, and as long as there’s Photoshop, I’ll always look young
I hope you had a great Mother’s day too.
Thanks for sharing the prayer request. I didn’t realize your husband has been out of work for so long, and I can’t begin to imagine the kind of stress that brings. How great is it to serve and trust a God Who sees and knows and sustains us when we are at the end of our ropes. I’ll be praying for you guys this week.
Blessings to you, and a big hug from Roanoke.
Love, Susan
A Monday Pause is a great way to start the week. It’s exciting to see how God continues to lead you and use you to encourage other believers!
Thanks for stopping by and for always being such an encourager, Jodi. Loved your post today, and am so thankful for your little blessings.
Praying for you this week!
Love, Susan
Susan, I love the pic for this blog…..I will look forward to see what you will do for next Monday!
Please pray for doctors appointment a week from today with hand surgeon; the last week I have had a lot of hand pain especially in the evenings. I do not know how much pain is from carpal tunnel syndrome and how much from arthritis. Kristen is coming home on May 26 and I would like to feel better for her arrival. Have a great week dear friend!
Thanks for stopping by, Judy. I’m adding you to my list! I hope you’re able to get some relief, and I also hope your back is doing better. I know you’re excited for your visit with Kristen
Have a blessed week!
Love your new Mondays! Did you really take that picture? It’s incredible! Thank you for always pointing us to Christ. Have a safe trip!
Thanks for stopping by, Vonda, and YES – I took that picture. Crazy, huh?
Praying for you as you prepare for next week
