A Monday Pause ~ Love That Believes

Heavenly Father, as we begin this week, we lift up the prodigals in our lives.
Some are taking steps in the right direction, working to correct their paths.
But others are living carelessly
with no concern for the consequences that lie ahead.
We lift them up to you today, Father,
BELIEVING that You have a plan for their restoration.
Use us to speak truth into their lives and encourage them to walk in Your way.
Thank You for never giving up on them OR on us.
In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen

What about you? How can I pray for YOU this week?

  1. Good morning Susan. God quieted my writing and provided me with a deeper understanding of His plans for me the past few months. He’s shown me how to better serve Him, and whenever I see your smiling face, I remember what a servant’s heart you have. So this is just a quick note to say thanks for serving Him so well. I’m telling you this in a public forum so I can brag on you as well. Have a blessed week.

    • Bruce, I can’t tell you how much this comment blesses me. Thanks so much for encouraging me this morning. You’re at the top of my Monday Prayer list, and I’m excited to see the Lord open the right doors for you.

Thanks again for blessing & encouraging me today.
      Hugs from VA,
      Susan

  2. A beautiful prayer, Susan, and I’ve placed names in the text! So thankful God is a God of mercy. Have a great day! :)

  3. Amen, Susan! A beautiful beginning to the week. Praying you sense His pleasure as you go about your day today.

    • Thanks, Cathy — I’m praying for FOCUS today, which isn’t always easy on a Monday!
Hokie hugs to you today :)

  4. Susan, as the mother of a former prodigal, I have to share that I found a great deal of comfort in praying to the Lord about him, believing he would come back because I knew someday he would! God promises us this in Prov 22:6: “Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it.” After praying for him for over 15 years, the Lord answered my prayers by placing a godly woman in his life whom He used to bring my son back to the light (those were my son’s words to me). And now they are married and worshiping together, plus my son is very involved with a medical missions team in Albania (he is a firefighter/paramedic).

I’ve learned that when we are faithful in our prayers on behalf of our prodigals, God is always faithful to answer those prayers in ways we cannot even imagine!

    Blessings on your Monday!

    • It’s so good to hear from you, Anna! Thanks for sharing your testimony, and it’s always great to see the Lord answer our tireless prayers. I hope you’ll come back on Wednesday and share again. I’d love to start a wave of people praying for each others’ prodigals!

Thanks so much for stopping by today!
      Hugs from VA,
      Susan

  5. You are so precious to me. I’m so thankful that God brought you into my life!! Thank you for your prayers. Always know that you are in mine too!

    • It’s a pleasure and a great way to connect hearts before the Throne. Thank YOU for your constant encouragement. Hope you had fun at the beach!

  7. A timely reminder to persevere in prayer for those *yet* unsaved or faltering. Thanks, Susan.
