Father, we acknowledge You as the Lifter of our heads.
You are El Roi, the God Who Sees, and nothing is hidden from You.
Lord, we ask that You lift our heads and the heads of those in a sea of
hurt, confusion, overwhelm, doubt or despair.
Bring us out of that sea and into a spacious place -
a place of clarity and understanding.
May we see Your way and walk in it.
We stand amazed that You delight in us, and
we thank You for Your grace & mercy toward us.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.

What a beautiful way to begin this week, Susan. I love that particular verse. I would appreciate your prayers in trying to regain momentum with my Weight Watchers journey. I’m disappointed over my own lack of self-discipline. Thank you friend.
Always happy to pray for you, Cathy. New mercies every morning — you can do it!!
Hey Susan, I am trying to get my 5 min. talk together for the She Speaks Conference. I would really appreciate prayer for it to not just be a talk but that the Lord would make it a message for the hearer.
Those peer critiques are nerve wracking! Your messages are always rich, Di, but I’ll pray especially for it to speak to the gals’ hearts. Wish I could be there!
Pray for my sister Marlene, who lives in the Phils. & she really had a hard life & I just got an FB message from her daughter this a.m. to call her ASAP. Since I am in Colorado visiting my daughter I can’t really just call. She and I are very close, I cannot skype with her because she does not have a computer.
love ya girl friend. Thanks Sus.
Absolutely, Anita. Sisters are special, and I’ll bet yours is VERY special. Love you too
Love this promise! Such a humbling and amazing thought….he DELIGHTS in us! Susan, I pray the Lord will bless you today in the knowledge of how much he delights in you!! Blessings, from Idaho…..
So glad you stopped by today, Jeannette. I just read your post — looks like we’re on the same wavelength!! From Idaho to VA, and everywhere in between – God is AMAZING!!
AMEN!
This is exactly what I’m needing today. I’m aching for some clarity (I just struggled to even spell that word!) today. I also need mental focus, steadfastness of heart, and patience…mainly with myself. Thank you for praying sweet friend!
I know that ache well, Kay. Praying for your focus and direction today. Thanks for stopping by!!
In this world of pressure and feeling closed in at times by so many responsibilities, it’s easy to miss the truth in His Word. Open, spacious spaces sounds so good right about now. Thank you…
I know you’ve had a busy couple of weeks, Vonda. Praying that you can take a breath and be in His space today!!
Yes, this IS a beautiful way to start the week. Thank you for those sweet words…
You make my day
I’m a day late, but would love prayers for “being in the moment” with my children.
Love and God Bless!
Christy
You’re never late, Christy! Glad you stopped by
Adding you to the journal and lifting you and the kids up this morning!
I too am a day late, but I love this prayer. Is the photo from one of your trips to the Holy Land? The idea of space makes me breathe easier. Please pray for me as I prepare my family for a wonderful week of vacation at Camp of the Woods! Lysa TerKeurst will be speaking there! Thanks Susan!
What a fun trip, Julia! Definitely praying for that & can’t wait to hear about it!!
And YES – that photo was taken this year at the precipice in Nazareth (Luke 4). The angry mob drove Jesus to the “brow of the hill” and wanted to throw Him off right there! The mountain in the distance is Mt Tabor. I was lucky to get this shot of the dad and his kids looking out over the Jezreel Valley.
Can you tell how much I LOVE Israel??
Hi Susan,
Oh, I LOVE Psalm 18…balm to my soul.
My prayer request: I have a publisher meeting prior to She Speaks (at ICRS) and am attempting to pull together chapter one of my next book. In the midst, son #2 is getting married (on the other side of the country–looong flights ahead for all of us) and I’m helping him get moved into their first apartment for when they return here. LOTS of work. And there’s lots more going on in my family, all good, but oh, it’s a juggling act. SO, I need grace, grace, grace, and uninterrupted time to accomplish it.
You are a huge blessing. Thank you SO much for praying, sweet Susan!
Wow, Julie – what a busy summer you have, and how exciting to have so many great things going on! But all that activity DOES require a good bit of juggling, so I’ll pray specifically about that. And that you’ll get good rest each day so you’ll be fresh and focused for the days’ events! I’m so excited about your second book and can’t wait to watch it develop!
Hugs from VA
I love that verse! Thank you for starting the week with another reminder to fix our eyes on God’s goodness.
Isn’t that verse great, Jodi? Makes you want to take a deep breath, doesn’t it! Praying for you and your sweet family today
Please pray my husband and I are reuinited soon. He is supposed to be home on Thanksgiving, and with me, the dog, the fish, and the kiddo, it still gets a little lonely. The Lord is keeping me strong, but I am still human. Thank you!
Absolutely, Amberr. I can’t imagine what you’re going through, but you can do it! Praying for your strength, comfort and for the Lord to draw you close and be your Companion right now.
Hugs from VA,
Susan
