Heavenly Father, how we long to leave a godly legacy.
We want the pathway of our lives to be paved with bricks of
love, faith, mercy and grace.
May we seek to be a blessing to someone every day.
Show us creative ways to influence the people around us,
and may we shine the love of Jesus in all we say and do.
We ask it in His matchless name, Amen.

Good morning, Susan. Please pray for my mom who is in a Florida hospital with lung cancer. I’m headed down this morning. Thanks. In His Love, Bruce
Will do, Bruce. And praying for you as you travel – Be safe!
Susan, oh that we may leave a Godly legacy! Please pray for my friend, Debbie Holman. Her church is in the midst of problems that may in fact cause her to leave where she’s been a member all of her life. Love you sweet friend!
Thanks, Jamie. I’ll keep praying for Debbie, and you know I pray for you everyday too.
Love you
What a beautiful prayer, Susan. Thanks for sharing your gift. I dropped off my two oldest children at camp yesterday- would you please pray for their safety and that they will form good friendships? Thank you so much.
What fun! Yes, Julia, I’ll definitely pray for them, AND for you. I hope you and the younger ones have a great week!
You blessed my socks off…and made me tear up. I am speechless. What an honor to share such a place of honor on your blog.
I love you dearly…and am spending time in prayer for you and your precious ones as I drink from my Famous Louise’s cup this morning.
Yes, you made my day!
I couldn’t think of a better mother-daughter combo to feature than you and Carrie. And I made you speechless? Bonus points for me
And YAY – you’re drinking from the Famous Louise mug! Does John know to associate that with me, or does he just go into a peach pie daze? Try to keep your thoughts straight so you can pray
Thanks for the reminder…lately I’ve been thinking about that legacy…while I know I’ve come far, especially with the oldest (18), I have a long way to go (16 and 9 1/2 year olds still home). It is easy to sit back and let TV and school and computers be their primary influence or become a big nag. You offer a very good prayer. Please pray for my preparation and time at She Speaks this week, for guidance, peace and to be a blessing to others there. Love you! Thanks again–Karen
Hang in there with the younger ones, Karen. They’ve already learned from watching you with the older sibling!
Praying for you as you prepare and travel to Charlotte. I know it’ll be great!
Love, Susan
I love this prayer. Reading through the Old Testament kings right now and am reminded of what leads to a strong legacy…our relationship with the Father. When we are in constant dependence and communion with him, we will be more attuned to his direction in life and therefore will be a blessing to others. I love this!
Thanks, Jeannette! You’re so right — much to learn from OT leaders. Too bad so many people glaze over when you flip through the books that precede Matthew. They have such great lessons!
I’m actually teaching through Judges right now, so these next few weeks will be crafted around those faithful folks. I’m loving it
Susan,
You are a blessing to me in so many ways, Susan… your inspirational words, your constant support, prayers, and encouragement. Thank-you for being that beacon of light to so many far and near and for sharing the love of Jesus with all of us!
Love and Hugs!
Marisa
Aw, you’re a sweetie Marisa. You’re such an encouragement yourself, and great resource about healthy living! I’m keeping you in my prayers and can’t wait to hear about week two
Hugs from VA!
I am going to see an ENT today my eyelids
are swollen ;( . I look like a bug. I am hoping
It is just allergies.
Oh no, Tita Anita — praying it’s allergies and easily treated. We don’t want you to look like an Ewok from Star Wars!
This has become one of my favorite series, Susan. What a blessing! One of my greatest desires is to leave a godly legacy.
We’ve run into a small glitch with the upcoming community Bible study, but nothing God can’t handle. Prayers appreciated!
Praying for you too…
You got it, Cathy. Praying you get all the wrinkles ironed out soon. And thanks for praying for me!
Susan,
This is beautiful! You wouldn’t believe what I shared at a nursing home last Saturday? This very topic! — Leaving a godly legacy.
How funny is that?! Love, Hester
Thanks so much, Hester! That IS funny – we’re on the same wavelength!!
Hugs to you, sweet girl
Susan,
You are certainly leaving a legacy and blessing others. A friend recommended your web site. You had me at the prayer. I can’t wait to check out everything else. I would ask for prayers for my dear husband. He has a medical test on Thursday and a job interview on Friday.
In His service,
Karen
Welcome, Karen! I’m so glad you stopped by, and I hope you’re encouraged! I’ve been doing the Monday prayer for a couple of months, and I really enjoy it. And I’m happy to pray for you and your husband. How great is it that we serve a God Who heals and makes our way straight!
Hugs from VA,
Susan
I love this picture, Susan, and I love this post. What a blessing you are to so many! Thank you for your prayers!
Isn’t Kristi the cutest thing ever? It was fun to meet Carrie, and I’m so glad I got this shot!
As always, thanks for your sweet encouragement. It’s an honor to pray for you and your ministry each week
Susan, please pray for financial healing this week. We are going through a rough patch. Thank you for all the inspiration you provide.
Absolutely, Amberr. And I’ll continue in the coming weeks. Thanks for stopping by.
Hugs to you
