A Monday Pause ~ Our Rock

Heavenly Father, thank You for being our Rock of refuge,
the One Who is strong and steadfast.
As we begin a new week,
we don’t know what’s on the horizon of our lives,
but we know You are the shelter in every storm we face.
Draw us near and give us an extraordinary sense of Your presence.
In Christ Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.

Happy Monday, friends! I’m back from vacation and ready to “hit the ground running.”

How can I pray for you this week?

Comments

  1. Pray for my grandniece Sara and her family — she is 2 years old and was diagnosis this past Thursday with liver and lung cancer. They are awaiting biopsy results at the moment.

  2. Oh, I so needed this prayer this morning, Susan. Thank you for the words because, oddly enough for a writer, I just don’t have them right now. Hope you have a blessed Monday, starting a wonderful week!

  3. Susan, how I look forward to your Monday Pause! Another blessing today and wonderful reminder of his faithfulness and presence in our lives! Hope you have a great day!!

  4. Thank-you for this beautiful “pause” this morning, Susan! It’s so comforting to know I’m enveloped in the Almighty arms of my Abba Father… Ahhh

  5. Welcome back Susan! I love your photo; what a gorgeous reminder!

  6. Welcome back!!! I missed you!! I hope you had a wonderful time of fun and relaxation!!
    Love you!

  7. Welcome back, Susan. I pray you had a restful and refreshing vacation. Please continue to pray for Jamie and I as we do the psalm 91 study. Also, please pray for our family, as our little foster grandchild will be going back permanently with her father! Thanks so much Susan!

    • Absolutely, Glenda. I’m excited that you gals have had such a good response to the Psalms study. Looking forward to catching up on that!

  8. Susan, this message is so timely. I am walking through grief with my dear friend who tragically lost her husband a week ago. Could you pray for Amy, and her 4 beautiful children: Eileen, Mary, Andrea, and Stephen? And for me, that I can cling to the Lord and His truth and also be the support Amy needs? Thank you so much, friend!

  9. Welcome back! Hope you had a great vacation. I’m glad to be home from a whirlwind few months. I’ve missed checking in with everyone!
    Love you…

    • YAY – so glad you’re home too, Vonda! Thanks so much for stopping by. I’m trying to dig out. Hope you’ve had fruitful endeavors the past few months. You’re such a great encourager :)

  10. I read this on my kindle earlier, but realize now I never got back around to commenting. . . for what it’s worth–it’s still resonating with me, which is why I thought about that in the first place!

Welcome back, Susan. you were missed!

    • Thank you for coming back, Nikki! When I penned it last week, little did I know how much I’d need this prayer! Lifting you up and adding you to my Monday prayer journal :)
      Hugs to you, sweet friend!
