A Monday Pause ~ Soul

Eph 4-23 attitude

Heavenly Father, thank You for the start of another week.
As we face the challenges ahead,
we ask that You guard our thoughts and emotions.
We know the importance of having right attitudes
but we confess to listening to the wrong voices.

We listen to the voices of fear, doubt, worry, insecurity…
Then when we think we have our thoughts in order,
something pops into our minds and sends us spiraling.

Help us to take our thoughts captive and
renew our minds with Your Word.
We want Your Light to shine through our broken places.
In Jesus’ name,
Amen.

Thank you Susan I am on the mend. It is so nice to start the week checking your post, even tho I don’t work anymore…but there is always something to do for somebody! love ya!

  4. Susan,
I agree with the others. I appreciate starting my week with you, even if its late in the day before I get to your blog. Today has been a rough one for me. I need wisdom from God about a decision I have to make.
    Thanks so much.
    Hugs!

  5. Love the concept of “Let Your light shine through my broken places”. Thursday is my surgery and I ask for continued prayer, Susan. Thank you for all your prayers thus far regarding my back/spine surgery. Your friend, Judy

  6. Rejoicing!, No surgery for Doc at this time! I love that this prayer reminds us to take out thoughts captive. Good reminder

    • YAY for Joseph! And yay for YOU. I’m glad you won’t be facing that any time soon. If you like the prayer, you’ll love the devo on Wed. Thanks for stopping in, Di!

  7. I join you in praying that God will guard my thoughts and my words. It’s definitely already been a mish-mash of happy and sad, good and disappointing. Praying that I’ll focus on Him and what He has for me, and not what my vision of things are!
