A Monday Pause ~ Kind WordsPosted on Jul 22, 2013 | 7 comments
Heavenly Father, thank You for YOUR words.
Your promises are sweet to us and give us strength to face each day.
Help us to measure our words this week.
Set a guard over our mouths and
keep watch over the door of our lips (Ps 141:3).
Help us be mindful that our tongues have
the power of life and death (Prov 18:21).
May the words of our mouths and the meditations of our hearts
be acceptable in Your sight (Ps 19:14).
In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.
If you missed last week’s post on God’s silence in our suffering,
you should check out some of the GREAT insights from my friends:
Speaking of last week…
You may have noticed that I didn’t respond to any comments, which is a giant “No No” on my site. But I think you’ll understand when you hear why: last Monday morning, my son was involved in an accident at his worksite, broke his leg and required surgery. He was 3 hours away, so I grabbed Sarah and my overnight stuff and took off. I’ll spare you the gory details (and trust me on the gore), but we are so appreciative of your prayers for his healing.
Many of you know that he recently graduated from VT and moved to NC. He’s now home for the summer and will be rehabbing under his family’s watchful eyes. He’s a great patient and has an amazing attitude. I’m so proud of him and thankful that he can be back here with us in VA.
Meanwhile, I’ll do my best to stay connected. I want you all to know how much I appreciate this community! I might not be able to respond to EVERY comment, but I’ll check as often as I can.
