Checking in and heading out!

I’m on my way back to the Holy Land! teaching in Israel

Many of you have been praying for our trip with FCA and I’d like to take this opportunity to say

thank you

I’ll have limited internet access and will be posting pics and updates on my Facebook page (Susan Stilwell, writer) as well as Instagram (susanrstilwell). I’d love for you to follow me there and keep up with our team.

I’ll be trying to keep this guy in line.

John the Baptist

Many of you know my sweet dad, affectionately known as John the Baptist. He’s been to the Holy Land so many times we’ve lost count, but this time will be especially taxing for him since his back is acting up. He’s a total gamer and never complains, but he’s aching. Would you please pray for him?

And please also pray for our fearless leader, Mike White, FCA Chaplain extraordinaire. He’s heading up all our sports camps in the West Bank as well as leading coaching seminars. We have a varied team of volunteers going and we’re excited about the God-appointments we’ll have.

Most of y’all know that Israel is just about my favorite place outside of SWVA, so I’m over-the-moon excited to be going back. I’m also excited that my cousin Laura will be with us this time! She’s a doll and we’re both excited about our canyon adventure. Stay tuned for that!

I won’t have admin access to my website, so my next post will be early July. But I’ll be reading your comments and would love to hear from you.

Thank you for praying!

  1. I’m so excited that you get to make this trip with your dad. How wonderful, considering the year you’ve had. I will of course pray for you all, especially him. Enjoy!

  2. I have been thinking about you and your Father; praying as you make your preparations.

I will especially pray for your Father that his back pain will not act up. For the last few months, I have been having sciatic pain in my right glute and my leg to my foot. It flares up especially after I ride in the car. Dr. Carmouch said my most recent XRay seems to show the last vertebra and disk substitute have not healed properly. Last Friday, I had a MRI and Cat Scan and I await the results. Hopefully it is something Dr. Carmouch can fix.

I am praying for all who are involved in the ministry to stay well and open to the leading of the Holy Spirit. I look forward to seeing you when you get back! Judy

  3. I am excited for you to take this trip with your dad. My prayers will cover you all as you answer the invitation from the Lord to visit his home while on earth.

    Rejoicing with you, friend.

  4. You will all be in my prayers. Blessings to you.

  5. Have a great trip! What a special time for you and your dad. Praying for you.

We will be praying for all of you, but especially for your dad. The last time we saw him we had lunch together at Anthony’s. The next day my back went out and I’ve been pretty crippled ever since. Tell him I think he caused it. Seriously, I will pray for his health and comfort. Your family is so special.

  7. Wow, Susan! So excited for you. I’ve been to the Holy Land twice. My wife & I love it – especially Jerusalem. Pumped for you.
