When suffering doesn’t make sense and friends make it even worse

When suffering doesn’t make sense and friends make it even worse

This is the second week of my reflections on Job. It’s interesting that Job’s friends were never satisfied that Job had searched his heart and was innocent of any wrongdoing. Sometimes confrontation is necessary and we need to speak the truth in love to a friend who needs to hear it. But I’ve found those times to be few and far-between. More often than not I sense the Lord calling me to speak comfort and encouragement.

What about you? What have you learned through the sting of hurtful words? Or the power of anointed ones? I’d love to hear about it.
