When your wait is over, will you be ready to roll?

When your wait is over, will you be ready to roll?

I’m tired of waiting.

I recently had foot surgery, so I’m hobbling around in a boot waiting for my foot to heal.

My son moved 7 hrs from home and we can’t schedule a visit until February.

We need some repair work done around the house, but we can’t start until (1) we have the funds, and (2) the weather breaks.

I find myself thinking, “I can’t wait until…”

Guatemala Brain Dump

Guatemala Brain Dump

Before I left for Guatemala, I had this idea that I’d come back all fired up and inspired.

And that I’d write this deep, insightful post that highlighted several awesome God-moments from the trip. And that I’d have dozens of photos of beautiful Guatemalan children.

Yeah. That was BEFORE I left. Now that I’m home, I can barely string 2 thoughts together.

Off to Guatemala!

Off to Guatemala!

We’re off to Guatemala!

I’m excited to reconnect with some of my friends and see what God will do with us. I’m going with some of the same gals from our Feb 2013 trip: Alene Snodgrass, Emily Gallimore, Dawn Muench, Sara McDaniel, Carolina Sizemore, and Laura Harris. I’m excited to get to meet my San-Fran friend Dolly Lee for the first time in real life!

And then there’s the charming Anita Taylor, with whom I seem to be working my way around the world. So far we’ve traveled to Israel and Belize…

Lessons from a season of the blahs

Lessons from a season of the blahs

I’m digging out from a season of the blahs.

A busy spring turned into a frazzled summer. (Remember the phone call that changed my summer?) I had a bunch of writing goals, but didn’t accomplish any of them.

NOT. A. SINGLE. ONE.

I felt like I was on a downward spiral with my writing: the less I did, the less I wanted to do. Have you ever been there?

5 Things I Learned in September

5 Things I Learned in September

Several of my blogging friends have started linking up at the end of the month and sharing some of the things they’ve learned. I’ve pretty much sworn off linkups, but this one is too much fun and I can no longer resist. I’ve narrowed it down to five, and one of them involves the Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir… won’t you join me?
